Update 2: Serious traffic incident, Bowen Hills
Police have charged a man following inquiries into an alleged hit and run traffic incident in Bowen Hills on Thursday, October 5.
Around 1am police were called to the intersection of Hamilton Place and Campbell Street after a woman was found on the roadway with significant injuries.
A 27-year-old woman was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and remains in a critical condition.
A 58-year-old Flinders View man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing grievous bodily harm with callous disregard.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 25.
