Update: Armed robbery, Durack

Police have charged two people following an investigation into the robbery of a man in Durack.

It will be alleged that around 11.20pm on September 28, a 20-year-old man left a bus stop on Durella Street and walked home through Durack Common Park when he was grabbed from behind.

A second person, allegedly armed with a knife, demanded he empty his pockets.

The man handed over his phone and wallet, and gave the pair his PIN after he was allegedly threatened again before they fled on foot.

Withdrawals were made from the man’s bank account.

A 27-year-old Durack man has been charged with one count each of robbery and stealing.

He appeared in the Richlands Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to reappear in the same court on November 21.

A 23-year-old Pallara man has also been charged with robbery and two counts of stealing.
He is due to appear in Richlands Magistrates Court tomorrow.
