Update: Armed robbery, Urangan
A boy has been charged following an armed robbery in Urangan on September 4.
Around 8.45pm, a man and a woman who were walking along Buccaneer Drive were allegedly approached by two men who had just exited a small white vehicle that pulled up next to them.
Both men allegedly produced knives and demanded the man’s wallet.
It will be further alleged that one of the men struck the male victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The man handed over his wallet with the two men then fleeing the scene in the vehicle.
The man received minor injuries to his face.
The woman was uninjured during the incident.
A 16-year-old Wondunna boy has been charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Investigations are continuing.
