Update: Burglary with violence, Highland Park

Police have charged a 29-year-old man after a Highland Park home was broken into on July 29.

It will be alleged at 11.20pm, two men entered the Kilpatrick Court residence, with one man armed with a firearm.

A male occupant of the residence was struck with a pair of bolt cutters which caused a severe laceration to his forearm which required hospital treatment.

It will be further alleged one man rummaged through the rooms and removed property.

A 29-year-old Helensvale man has appeared in court charged with enter dwelling with intent and armed robbery in company personal violence.

He was remanded in custody to reappear in Southport Magistrates Court on September 5.

Investigations are continuing.
