Update: Deprivation of liberty, Waterford West
Detectives investigating an alleged deprivation of liberty and serious assault of a woman at Waterford West between October 23 and October 25 have charged a man in relation to the matter.
It will be alleged that on October 23, the man attended an address at another location where a 19-year-old woman was threatened and then driven to an address at Clearview Street, Waterford West.
At that location, it is further alleged the woman was held against her will and seriously assaulted by a 40-year-old female occupant of the house over a period of three days.
On October 25 at about 10.55pm, police attended the Clearview Street address and located both women.
The 19-year-old woman received significant injuries as a result of the incident and was transported to hospital for treatment.
A 46-year-old Waterford West man has been charged with one count each of kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, torture and extortion.
The man will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 30.
