Update: Fatal traffic incident, Broadbeach
A 78-year-old man who was struck by a vehicle at Broadbeach this morning has died in hospital this afternoon.
Initial inquiries undertaken by Forensic Crash Unit indicate around 10am a vehicle was turning from Albert Avenue into Old Burleigh Road when the man crossed the road and was hit.
The man sustained a head injury and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition where he died this afternoon.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact police.
