Update: Serious traffic crash, Coen
A motorcyclist involved in a traffic crash north of Coen on September 2 has passed away in hospital overnight.
Preliminary information suggests at about 12.18pm on the Peninsula Development Road, 30km north of Coen, the 44-year-old male motorcycle rider was located unconscious on the road by other members in his group.
The man from Paytens Bridge in New South Wales was transported to Townsville Hospital in a critical condition.
No other persons were injured during the incident.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
