Update – Serious traffic crash, Garbutt
A 45-year-old man has sadly passed away following a serious traffic crash in Garbutt last Thursday (August 31).
Around 9.35am the man was struck by a truck on the coroner of Hugh and Montgomery streets.
The man was taken to Townsville Hospital with serious head injuries but died this afternoon from injuries sustained in the crash.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
