Wade in the water, Gold Coast Water Police
The Gold Coast Water Police recently undertook wading training at the Couran Cove Island Resort on South Stradbroke Island.
The Queensland Police Dive Squad were on hand to instruct officers on how to conduct evidence and body recovery searches in waterways less than 1 metre deep.
The challenge for the day was to locate a murder weapon, possibly a ‘knife’, which had been discarded near the water’s edge.
The team were pretty excited when they found 50 cents buried in the sand for lunch!
