We kept our promise – Off Keys Mackay winner receives prize
Resident of Whitsundays, Nina Wilson was the winner of our recent Off Keys Mackay crime prevention competition aimed at reducing the number of cars being stolen in our district through the theft of car keys.
Nina’s 30 second video entry (previously released through our myPolice Mackay site and also QPS Facebook) was a real beaut.
We promised the winner a night for two at the Coral Sea Resort (with a free breakfast thrown in for good measure) and also a trip to the Great Barrier Reef for two through Cruise Whitsunday.
We delivered 
The picture above shows the Officer in Charge of the Whitsunday Police Station, Acting Senior Sergeant Jason Colley handing the prizes over to Nina’s parents Jill and Jeff who collected it on her behalf. Nina was travelling away from the Whitsundays at the time which is why her parents collected her prize – but I’m told that Nina may have cashed in and used the prizes by now.
