Weapons and drugs located, Kingston
Logan police have charged two men with drugs and weapons offences following the search of a Kingston address last week.
Around 8.45am on Friday, officers executed a search warrant at a Mayes Street residence where it will be alleged two modified firearms, a quantity of ammunition and a quantity of methyl amphetamine were located.
A 37-year-old Kingston man has been charged with two counts each of possession of shortened firearm and one count each of unlawful possession of category C weapon (shot gun), unlawful possession of category H weapon (rifle), authority to possess explosives (ammunition), possession of dangerous drugs, and three counts of possession of drug utensil.
He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 11.
A 24-year-old Kingston man has also been charged with possessing drug utensils and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 12.
Investigations are continuing.
